⭐My rambling savings Diary ~⭐1 -
Morning everyone and happy hump day
I had a bit of a realisation last night when I paid that £21. My sister is having a difficult time at the moment with one thing an another and there's not really much I can do to help her except be there when she needs me... She had called me on the way to the shopping centre last night for a chat as she had to do a bit of shopping. If I didn't have to repay debt, I would have sent it to her with a 'treat yourself' message to cheer her up a bit. It will be lovely when I can do that in a few months time. I'm a naturally generous person so it will be good for my heart to be able to do this.
Anyway, back to reality and my credit card debt. I have sent £7 to CC7 this morning which includes £2 from WeAre8, I have my final Vinted payment on its way and should be able to pay that later. Then I need to get selling more stuff. This little round of Vinted sales has made me about £170 so I'm sure I can eke some more out by adding a few more bits.
50 days now until DFD and that final projected payment is sitting at £444, I'm due to be under £1620 by pay day now which is much better than I had originally thought
I am starting to feel a bit anxious about the weekend ahead, I know it's going to be spendy (it's been planned for months) and it's for my birthday (in 2 week's time) so I don't want to scrimp. But I just keep thinking about that final payment.
At least it's a final payment in April and not September like I had been planning eh?
Oh and I did think of you @Antomac last night in the freezing cold for a 0-0 draw... I know it's a point but all that way for no goals seems a bit of a waste. At least there was a point in it for you, my team lost (again).
That's me for now, early calls on Wednesdays beckon

Thanks RS, I know you're right!!
Back with an update, the last Vinted payment has hit the bank so I have sent £13 to CC7. It's not a NSD for me, but still MSE (I think) as my student membership is expiring and I have paid for an additional year (£12) subscription. I was going to let it lapse, but as I am going to be replacing my laptop in the foreseeable and the student discount will save me £100 I though it would be budget savvy.
Anyway, off to walk the dog before it snows

You're doing well with the Vinted. I listed 3 things but no luck so far, apart from someone made me an offer of £2 on one of my tops....not sure if its worth the hassle of parceling it up and taking it to the shop for that.Making the debt go down and savings go up

My drop offs are at the garage round the corner or at my supermarket so I don't really have to make any effort to drop off the parcels to be honest. Plus I think you have 7 days to post them, and as long as you inform the buyer it should be fine to drop off when it's convenient. I know I wouldn't mind waiting a few days here or there.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £5678 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3188/£6000 | Travel savings £1924 | Sinking pots £21261 -

That should be it for today!

Another vote for you enjoying yourself guilt free. You’re nearly there now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It was bitterly cold in Huddersfield LMD, despite 3 layers, a big coat and two pairs of socks. Talk about chilled to the bone
. Still an enjoyable trip though, even with getting home at 2.30am on a school night with a 7.30 alarm today. I just love seeing other places and how different the houses and buildings are, not to mention the accents
Now you go ahead and enjoy your planned celebrations. With your now engrained habit of planning ahead you’ve got it all covered. I’m sure in the old days you would have just spent a fortune and buried your head in the sand.
As for your sister, don’t underestimate the value of giving her your time and a sympathetic ear until such time as you feel you might be able to help her a bit financially.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 52 -
Glad you managed to enjoy it regardless, I can’t remember the last time I got in at 2:30am! I do love living here, there are pretty landscapes, lovely architecture and the people are proper friendly. 😊 can’t comment on accents as they sound normal to me! 😂
I will still be enjoying myself this weekend, we have a restaurant booked for Friday evening and staying in an Airbnb with friends so we could cook on Saturday or maybe get takeout.
My sister really does appreciate the support I already give, and she tells me as much. ❤️Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £5678 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3188/£6000 | Travel savings £1924 | Sinking pots £21263
