I agree that your idea is best. We will both increase our pension payments too but we like the idea of having a holiday home that we can use ourselves as well as renting out. It will be an asset and we can utilise equity release if we need to in retirement as we have no children

I had a struggle getting my PA payout and had to reset the PayPal connection before it would cash out.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I’d not experienced any issues myself (knocks on wood) but I’ve seen the pop up when I’ve logged on so I figured there must be something happening.  Hopefully the reset sorted the problem for you x

  • Well, I have had a very productive 30 minutes... uploaded about 8 items to my wardrobe on Vinted and 4 sold straight away so I have bundled them up to take for posting in the morning.  Now I have £38 pending there :)  Definitely worth while listing what you don't use!

  • Ooh well done. Don't think I have anything worth putting on there, which is a shame. I rarely buy new clothes, so most of my wardrobe is quite old and I need to buy myself some new stuff.  I got rid of most of my good stuff a while a go.  Maybe I should take a look and see if there's anything on there worth me buying. I tend to use The Bay of E, quite a lot, or charity shops TBH. DH has some stuff I could sell, but he is reluctant to get rid of any clothes, even though he doesn't wear it...I'm working on him though.

You can sell all sorts on there, not just clothes :) There are no seller fees, so if they don't sell there's nothing lost.

Definitely worth looking on there for buying clothes too.

  • Gooood morning and a happy Monday everyone.  The weekend seemed to pass in the blink of an eye for me but I have really enjoyed it and had some down-time.

Today is pay day for me (whoop!) so I have updated my spreadsheet, paid a big chunk to the credit card and moved money to the joint account and my spends account. I've also popped the remaining CC7 payment for this month in a Monzo pot for safe keeping.

Today will be a NSD for me, I have to go out to post those parcels (sold another last night) but I don't need to buy anything and I have all we need for tonight's dinner recipe. PAD was £505 to the credit card which takes me to £2450 and we have 59 days to go... exciting times!

I get to colour more of my charts in today, and as I am a bit of a stationery geek I have my debt diary in a notebook and I fill that out every day. I'm on my 2nd book now and it helps me see just how far I have come. :)

Off to work now, I hope you all have a great day!

It’s a pay day thing though :D no more until when the statement is generated but that should be another £500 to take me below 2k

  • Wow, I can't keep up with you. I'm so looking forward to being in a position to pay off larger amounts like this, later in the year. For now, I'll just keep plodding on....lol
