    Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, it's the wrong one (LPG, Heating Oil, Solid & Other Fuels).
    Try posting in Energy.
  • Is the switch by the tank a big red one? That probably turns off the emersion. Try turning it off and see if
    a) anthing else goes off! and
    b) the water in the tank is cooler/cold the next day
If you really just use 2 sinks of hot a day, use the kettle for amount you need.

It wasn’t coloured just looked like a normal hardwired socket switch which was connected to the bottom of the tank I turned that off today I’m wondering because I have some boost box water heater box in my meter cupboard which doesn’t appear to be wired to anything can I turn that off also,I’m just wondering if I’ve been paying the full amount for the hot water perhaps it was never connected to the cheaper rate.
by doing this will I still get the cheap rate on my storage heaters
    many thanks

@danaflett30 You're not the first and won't be the last to post in the wrong  part - it should be Energy, just badly designed.

You may be going down the wrong path with the immersion. £300 a month is much, much more than a possible immersion issue.

How long have you been with this supplier and at your property ?  What is your heating - Storage Rads, panel heaters, wet radiators with a big electric boiler - is this an all electric flat ?

Have you been giving your supplier monthly readings ? If not then the computer will be guessing.  Read your meter NOW and give your readings..

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
