Hi Henrik777, thanks again for the response. When I spoke to someone at CCBC yesterday, they said that if I pay off the fine now, the only way I can get it back as my going through solicitors. Is that not the case? I have scoured online for an answer but can't find one. What would the process be for that? I am willing to pay the fine and then fight it.0

I asked at CCBC whether it is possible to pay off the fine and then reclaim it. She said this was not possible. I am really stuck with what to do here.0

I was going to immediately agree, then a thought hit me ... if the CCJ is paid such that it doesn't register, then there's nothing to set-aside is there? Wouldn't the OP need to raise a new claim against the PPC to recover the costs from the previous judgment?Jenni x2

It doesn't disappear, it just doesn't appear on the register.
If you're not on the electoral roll are you dead ?2 -
Thank you for your responses. My thinking so far is: I'll pay the fine to ensure my credit rating is not shoot to pieces - I am going to email DCBL and VCS explaining that I am paying out of a gesture of good will and that I take no acceptance of liability. Then, I am going to apply to set aside the judgment.0

Still not a fine
DCBL for paymejnt
"goodwilll" is meaningless as a phrase2 -
Do you have any advice for my initial email to them?1

Youre paying them in full - what you want is to make sure they contact the court same day to confirm you have paid the judgment in full0
