  • Limavady/Ballykelly are nice enough, but taking the mountain road over to Coleraine can be interesting on the snowy days in winter. Easy access to Benone and Donegal too.
    You could easily rent out a house in Portrush during the NW200, as well as during the Open...

    I'm biased as all my family are there, but I love Derry.  You do need a bit of a thick skin to live there, as the banter can be a bit much if you're not used to it, but I also lived in Glasgow so compared to Glasgow it's fine!
    Derry has a huge amount going for it, great indie business scene, parks, the river, so close to Donegal...
    I grew up south of Manchester and wouldn't compare the two areas tbh, can you go for an extended holiday to visit your family and test it out?  Living in NI is very different to visiting; healthcare is something we would really struggle with so we haven't thought about moving back for that reason.
