You will be asked to return the item at your expense via a delivery method which shows a proof of delivery online.

    2 things here...

    1) At my expense. Do i then claim this back through PayPal and this is what the return on us part is?

    2) Proof of delivery. Interesting as usually it's just proof of postage. Which Royal Mail option would satisfy this? It's only a small item that would probably come under large letter at most.
Read the responses again, you say you signed up for ‘returns on us ‘ already, so you must know how it works, so see if it applies to this return (assuming you win the dispute, which you almost certainly will).

As for proof of delivery v proof of posting, see what PayPal require when you win the case. Proof of delivery though for Large letter size items will be either signed for via RM or Myhermes do a postable option - but that is not insured .

  • Royal Mail standard parcel gives a reference number that shows online proof of delivery.  Signed For gives proof of delivery for a letter.  If you want to be absolutely sure you can send it tracked, overkill possibly but shouldn't matter if you'll be reimbursed for it anyway.  Their limit is £15 so you should have no problems there.

    1.  If you sign up to the Returns On Us it explains how you claim.
    2.  Paypal require proof of delivery not proof of postage for a return.   POD for a large letter will be 'signed for' at the least.  If you are being reimbursed for up to £15 why not use a proper tracked return like Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 or Special Delivery.
