Text sending failing

Ive got a K850i on orange bought from phones 4u 6 weeks ago and ive realised today that i cant send or recieve texts and this started yesterday ish thinking it could be a network problem i waited till today to look into it and called orange who are trying to send a settings update to my phone and that was at 10am and still no text so i called p4u who suggested battery and sim out for 10 mins and see if that works failing that it will need to be sent away:( which im not over the moon about as its only 6 weeks old and the last thing i need at this time of year.

Has anyone had this problem or know what a solution might be?

can you make or receive calls?

if not, the phone may have been barred.

EDIT: scrap that

try entering the numbers for the orange text message server HERE (1st table) in messaging > settings > text message > service center (may be slightly different from my k810i)

Thanks, problem now solved a master reset fixed whatever had went wrong as i tried getting the settings resent from both orange and S.E and they never came through.
