Perhaps its your oversight for not having a spare phone (even a cheapy 2G one that can only do calls and texts.  That would have got you into your Amazon account) in the first place

How does that help ? With most accounts, only one mobile phone number can be registered to a single account.

Try adding 2 mobile numbers to your amazon or google account then make a educated reply to the OP's post.

Yeah, but all that is needed now is access to someone's mobile phone and you can spend spend spend all day long. If passwords were ever secure then OTP would not be required.

Yeah, I agree, read some of the FAQ's from most major banks about OTP. I quote one from M&S credit card services.

Customer: "How will the OTP be delivered if I have a poor mobile signal when I'm shopping online?"

M&S Reply: "Call us on xxxxxx and our Customer Services team will be happy to help"
