Prevent Halifax regular saver renewal online - but how?

My Halifax Regular Saver matures in around 10 days time and Halifax have notified me of this via post - all good - telling me that the funds will transfer to the 'EveryDay Saver' (set up with the Reg Saver) and the Regular Saver with automatically renew. However, I don't want to auto-renew on this occasion but I can't find a way to stop this happening using online banking, despite the letter telling me "To discuss other savings options or close your account, please get in touch using the details opposite" (and listing logging on to online savings as an option). I know I can phone them but would prefer to click my way through this instead of spending my time on hold and presumably have some kind of sales pitch from customers services! Any thoughts?!

just cancell your standing order .

You also need to close the everyday saver account they have opened. That way the old account will be converted into a new everyday saver rather than roll round into a new RS.

Or, cancel the standing order, and close the Regular Saver as soon as it has emptied.

Cancel the Everyday Saver asap which can be done online as stated by MDMD and cancel your standing order. The maturing Regular Saver will then as stated be converted into a new Everyday Saver which you can then close again online.
The problem with keeping the original Regular Saver unconverted is that you will have to close in branch or phone as these can't be closed online.0 -

This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."3 -
New regular SaverAssuming I want to end my regular Saver with 13 payments by closing the everyday saver to obtain the maximum interest. Can I then open a new regular saver immediately and thus have 13 payments before matúrity and thus again maximise the interest.Just a thought.0
