Hi
Has anybody had a successful refund for a flight only from Easyjet since Christmas? They say wait at least 30 days on their website, just wondering if that is realistic or not
Cheers

I had a refund from easyJet for cancelled flight in January. It was cancelled before Christmas. I selected refund on their website and got an email. I had my refund within the exact timescales their email suggested.TonyM19 said:HiHas anybody had a successful refund for a flight only from Easyjet since Christmas? Yes, took exactly four weeks from submitting the refund request - even got back the fee I paid to amend the flight to abother date.

I had a flight cancelled with EJ last May and opted for a refund but they took so long to process it I initiated a chargeback with my CC.
However whether it was coincidence or not, once I started that process, I received a refund from EJ direct1 -
Answering my own question.Submitted claim on 24th January, email yesterday (28 days) to say it was going back on my credit card. Interesting to see if I get the extra back I paid to rebook it from last Easter.I have one more booking with them for the May half term. I've moved that one twice already. Looking doubtful that it will go ahead and it wouldn't break my heart if I got a refund for this one as well.0

Money back on credit card (including the extra for rebooking).

I also can confirm the refund went through on the exact last day. Must be fully automated.0

I filled out the refund 20th January, got the first email confirmation shortly after. Received the refund processed email 17th February yet still not received money back to Credit Card. Rang today and got through in less than 5 minutes (shocked) and they told me last 4 digits of card had been processed a refund 16th Feb and to contact the Credit Card company. My wife rung them yesterday and they said they had received no refund and to contact Easyjet so round and round we go !0

Interesting as I also got the email refund bang on 30 days on 22nd Feb. Still no sign of money so I call them back today. No waiting like you say. Very clearly point out I have checked with my bank.. They acknowledge Refund amount and correct card authorised on 21st Feb and yes I should have the refund by now. Did not send me back to bank. Fired off some email to the "Refunds" team who now have 7 days to respond. All of this added to my booking notes.varkanoid said:I filled out the refund 20th January, got the first email confirmation shortly after. Now the cynic in me says they possibly did not actually refund and wait on patient customers like me poking them a 2nd time. Will come back and update if I get the refund or not within next 7 days.1 -
I am in exactly the same situation as superbigal. Phoned to day and got exactly the same story. Apparently I was refunded on the 14th February but have nothing in my bank. I too have been referred to the refunds team so shall wait and see.1

I think my problem was I never mentioned we had already spoken to the bank I bet if we do then we get the same "refer to refund team" speech. Will try it tomorrow and see what happens.0
