WARNING - Double VAT charge with Shell energy via MSE

Have recently signed up for Shell Broadband via a MSE link for promotional price.
However, just checked my first bill and see that VAT has been added on to the promotional price mitigating any saving made!
Obviously no-one from Shell is responding.
Their T&C's state that all priceson their price list are inclusive of VAT.

Well the MSE link was priced at £25.99 which would include VAT. Then it looks like there is a second VAT charge of £5.18
  • Yeh and the cashback they give is less VAT so £120 in my case suddenly became around £100.Soon be renewal time tho and looking forward to the £15 run around. At least highwaymen wore masks.

So the £36.90 full price plus VAT  comes to £47.88.That must be the dearest home broadband  in UK ? Funny never see that on the adverts?

Is it because the bill is for more than 1 month period - 10th Feb - 15th March - 34 days?

If it was 1 calendar month - 10th Feb - 9th March, that would be 28 days for your first bill but instead it is 34 days so it will be higher for this bill?
