DRO LIMIT INCREASE???

I have seen here the limit is increasing does anyone know if that's correct . Also do they still freeze banks and go through everything like bankruptcy or is it much easier to get. I'm in limbo at the moment just want it over with

The Woolard changes could be more far-reaching and take longer but the proposed changes for 5 May are quite likely to be brought in.

I'll keep posting as I hear anything

Absolutely nothing either way. I've bookmarked this thread now.

The proposed changes are still on the table but apparently there is now not enough time for the changes to be brought into law by 4 May.

I'll keep this thread updated as I hear anything.

Edit: the proposed changes are: max 30k debt, max £100 surplus per month, max assets £2k and the car limit stays at £1k

I think the Debt Advice 'industry' was duped into not objecting more strongly to the Breathing Space rules because of the DRO changes that we did want.

There is still no sign of those rule changes coming into operation.
