Eldest is sensible with money. It’s difficult to know what’s a realistic amount to live on. We’ve saved for £3000 per year and will give £100 a month so effectively also £400 a month. She has her own savings and money from my dad too. It’s tempting to give more but then we’re sacrificing paying the mortgage off. If she starts going into her overdraft we’ll have a rethink.
