Shell Broadband -slow speeds

I read MSE regularly and noticed the site was providing details about Shell broadband prices and expected speeds. In good faith and went through MSE link and signed up to Shell. I paid for installation and now I am up and running. I paid for 63 mb speed but only achieving 11 mb on a hard wire(not wifi). As we know their customer service is not the best. So I am not sure what I can do -they take my money for 63 mb and leave me with 11mb which is offered by several providers and a good deal cheaper.

NO you paid for Up TO 63 meg.Speed is dependant upon the individual property .What have Shell said ??Your contract must have a minimum acceptable speed , what is it .1

What speeds were you getting with your previous provider.

11mb is ASDL speed so pretty sure the upto argument isn't valid here given the speed falls into a lower product.JJ_Egan said:NO you paid for Up TO 63 meg.Speed is dependant upon the individual property .What have Shell said ??Your contract must have a minimum acceptable speed , what is it .
I don't have all the details but on facevalue I very much doubt 11mb from a "upto" 63mb product is acceptable.0 -
If you login into the router from an internet browser 192.168.1.1 can you check what the sync speed is?north16 said:I read MSE regularly and noticed the site was providing details about Shell broadband prices and expected speeds. north16 this 'I paid for 63 mb speed but only achieving 11 mb on a hard wire(not wifi).' is gross misrepresentation, it appears that throttleing is takeing place. What sort of speeds for the same sort of service did you get from your last isp? Use this link, just tell it your door number and post code and the truth will be expossed. What you are getting is little better than adsl.
