The clear transparent screen cover, (which has glue) and goes over your phone screen,
screen protector is it?
In this lockdown, I need a phone repair shop specialist to install it. I know anybody can install it, but they have experience of installing loads
Phone, Samsung galaxy A12.
How much should I expect for the phone protector itself?
How much should I be expecting to pay for a techie/ phone repair guy to put this screen protector on?
I don't trust myself to put it so will pay somebody to put it, as I might mess it up/get the install angle wrong.

Do you know anybody who will do it in the Midlands?

I'm unsure when shops will reopen?

Normally you wouldn't pay no more then £10 for the screen protecter and they will fit it for you within that price. it takes seconds. They will wipe you phone screen and then carefully fit the protecter. They are the experts and they do it all the time and they do a good job. You can pick decent phone protecters up for a couple of quid online but I personally prefer to get it done by somebody with experience.

You will find independent phone shops on most high-streets, most small towns have one or two.
  • There's a small part of me that wonders if this is a wind up but who knows.

Jump on ebay, buy the cheapest protectore you want as practice runs and also buy a tempered glass protector. None of them should cost more than a few quid.

Hop on YouTube if you really want and see how to apply.

Then get to trying it. You're not going to kill the phone and who knows, you may surprise yourself.

Screen protectors are designed for you to put in yourself. The glass ones are also much easier to put on than the old school plastic film ones
  • There are glass or plastic ones, both have their advantages and disadvantages. My advice would be to buy the one you want from Amazon and fit it yourself, it is not that difficult and only takes a few minutes.

glass one are easy to install.

Get a few on ebay. They are cheap.

  • Phone repair shops are permitted to be open. It's only the phone sales that are restricted. Find a phone repair shop that is open.

I have had a number over the years all bought from eBay.  And I have fitted myself without a problem.  Just take your time to line up before removing the plastic that covers the sticky screen bit and smooth down.
