Interesting thing is the littlewoods search didn't even have my date of birth so they probably didn't have much information. Was surprised that what appears to be just a name and address was enough for littlewoods to effect a credit search.

I did also check my Experian report and that was fine. So I guess Littlewoods only use Equifax.

Thought I would provide an update on this.

Equifax have emailed me and the search is being removed from my credit search. Strange thing is Littlewoods still can't answer why the search was carried out, they don't even appear to have a record of an attempt to open an account.

But at least it appears to be sorted however I will check my record reguarly to make sure.
