Broadband switch timing
Might be of interest because switch timing seems to be a big secret when it comes to broadband, I've just started broadband switch from PO Broadband to Plusnet, PO broadband contract due to end 2 March, started the switch on 12 February thinking that there's 14 days cancellation period to add when nothing much happens and got a completion date of 26 February, early termination charge from PO Broadband of £1.14.

It has always taken about 2 weeks just as it is doing for you.

Is not a big secret, it's always been on average 17 days. 14 days cooling and then two or three days later it's done.

Usual helpful replies NOT. If you haven't got something useful to add to a comment why bother replying, I couldn't find any information about when to switch without incurring huge amounts in early termination costs, so I just thought that it might be useful to others to know the timing and costs I've just experienced, you know USEFUL information, these sarky comments just put people off posting comments, well it does me anyway.

They've just clarified your observations - Wonga and Neil were just pointing out that the average is around 17 days, why do you feel that it's not useful.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -

In telecoms there is no "exit fee switching window" like you see in energy. If your contact ends on the 30th, and you leave on the 15th, you pay 15 days worth of exit fees. It probably tells you this in the T&Cs. You did read them I presume?1
