I only bought one pair for me - £15 but have spent hundreds on the Childrens shoes - a real sticking point. I can't see a way out though.
Not sure what my vice is - oh yes, the kids lol!!
Whats the 52 etc thing you were talking about?

Last haircut of the year at the end of next week for me. On haircuts alone that will be £341.
As I have mentioned before - I would rather miss meals than not have a decent haircut

Martin :money: was talking about it on Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 today. Have you seen the unnecessary calculator thing? I think it's like that. He was saying to work out how much you spend on something in a year, multiply by the number of times you buy it. i.e. 12 months or 52 weeks or 365 days or 250 days (number of working days). So if you spend 50p a day in the vending machine at work monday-friday, that's £125 a year (50p x 125).
I don't know how it helps with my shoes though because if someone had asked me how many pairs I buy I'd probably say 2-3 pairs year, not 10!0 -
I didn't think I spent that much on shoes but when I saw your post twi1ight it got me thinking. So in last 12 mth I bought 5 pairs of shoes and spent £261!!! One pair was £100, on sale:eek: ! Well, no shoes for me in 2008 ( I'll try

It's a similar concept to the one he uses in the 'Demotivator:

I hate shoe shopping and the hairdressers so I'm feeling quite virtuous on this thread!

I think I'm perfect!;)
My husband would disagree.....
Ok - confession time - probably must-have gadgets and things that I see on Grabbit and think 'I must have that!' (I think I'm the only person on MSE who bought a breadmaker, after hearing everybody on here raving about them, and never uses it!)
I did buy it with birthday gift money though so don't feel too bad!

I more than make up for your lack of enthusiasm!
That sais, I have not bought any shoes this year, absolutely none at all. It is an achievement which I have only just realised existed.*Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads*
