Amazon seller small claims court

An amazon seller is claiming X amount via small claims as Amazon restricted sale of an item.

Item sold had 2 serious faults, electrical and glass coming off item.   Seller wants buyer to pay for return (no offer to pre-pay or refund postage, other buyers have stated the same),  if seller sends the item back they cannot show proof of fault.

Review of the item left on Amazon to confirm the faults, no name left to confirm who the review was from.  Seller is claiming Amazon stopped sale of the item in the future and it is the fault of a review left.  Amazon stated to buyer, no not deal with seller, block emails and they will deal / refund.  Amazon have x2 emails sent as proof of fault.  No refund from amazon.

    I'm also confused.

Are you saying you bought something faulty, you want to send it back but the seller is refusing to pay return postage?

So you left a negative review on Amazon and then Amazon stopped them selling the item because of this?

So you still have item but want a refund and want the seller to pay to send it back?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Apologies, I have a medical condition which makes tasks like this a bit difficult at times.

I bought an item from Amazon which was faulty.

Amazon seller is claiming funds from me via the small claims court stating that as I left a review about the faulty item Amazon have stopped it's sale because of me.

Would Amazon tell them they stopped sale because of me?  How would they have proof Amazon did this because of me?

    Thank you

  • Have you received court papers or is this a seller (most likely far easten) chancing their hand?

It doesn't matter, they don't have a case.

Are you sure it's a real court claim? Does it have a court stamp on it? Have you tried logging on to MCOL (the password is on the court document) to check that the claim is real?

How much was the item and how much is the claimant claiming?

    And?  Is it genuine?

[EDIT:  Sorry I don't understand if you mean "Yes - I've been on the website... " or "Yes - it's genuine..."]
