Today I heard through the FOS that the Pru had not heard of my complaint. The complaint was sent through the online system Messages on the 11th December. It was these 6 pages of screen dumps that I sent to FOS. I went into the Messages today and the complaint which has been there since 11/12/20 has disappeared, in the last 2 days, which is scary.0

From any other company that would be shocking, but just looks like standard CS from the Pru. When I sent my complaint to the FOS I uploaded a scan of the 8 week letter from the Pru that gave the complaint reference and the quote that I could now complain to the Financial Ombudsman.OldBeanz said:Today I heard through the FOS that the Pru had not heard of my complaint. I am done with it for the time being. They appear to be paying out and the only way to talk is through the phone. I will wait until they get in touch but also have them liable to not meet the requirements of the ICO - who will be informed of the disappearance of confidential information on top.bioboybill said:

I must say that a quick read of the Trustpilot reviews for the Financial Ombudsmen Service paint a very poor picture of them. If the reviews are genuine it appears that they aren't independent at all! Funded by the financial institutions they are supposed to investigate!!0

The only people who will write reviews for a service like an Ombundsman are those that are unhappy, and if they don't get what they want will always tey and claim biasbioboybill said:I must say that a quick read of the Trustpilot reviews for the Financial Ombudsmen Service paint a very poor picture of them. You may be right, but there are plenty of companies and services that get good reviews. Let's see how they look at my case. I suspect things may well be sorted before the Ombudsman even gets round to looking at it.Tommyjw said:

I've raised a complaint via my local LGPS fund in the hope that they might have more clout than individuals. At the end of the day it's their members that are being affected.:beer::beer:0

I did that about 4 or 5 weeks ago and nothing happened, but I agree that you would think they would have some clout.bonnyrigger said:I've raised a complaint via my local LGPS fund in the hope that they might have more clout than individuals. Who do you suggest should fund them? Telephone service providers, who fund OFCom already maybe? I doubt their customers, as these operating costs will be passed on to customers. would like to subsidise the financial services industry.bioboybill said:I must say that a quick read of the Trustpilot reviews for the Financial Ombudsmen Service paint a very poor picture of them. Some companies are very good at getting people to do good reviews, balances out the bad ones, they get.Somebody regardless of product (not just talking pensions now) will have a good experience, another bad, its all subjective when dealing with the same company.Mine was missing from October last year, I mensioned to our pension staff, they said they were having problems, I complained via online messaging and got a phone call back, saying it would be rectified by March 15th and it was. Just waiting for Marches to appear which should be March early April.0
