Buildings Insurance Claim - inconvenience...

  • Hi all

I can see a lot of disgrunteled customers on this thread. But there may be worse to come
Asprea have to go through the contract process with the major insurance companies for the end of march. Therefore If you complain to your insurance company using the complaints proceadure, it may make a differance. Complaining on here will make litle difference but using the complaints proceadure for your insurance company will put people under a lot of pressure in those positions to investigate the situation.
I am amazed that this situation has been allowed to persist with this company and hope that a level of customer satisfaction can be developed if the right processes are adopted.

    Survey1

    Hope this helps
  • Nu do not own Asprea.
Asprea is part of the Carillion group and they are under contract to NU to handle insurance claims.
  • Having read many of the other posts - i wondered if ayone had managaed to resolve theior problems?

We had a water leak in May - it took days for aprea to arrive on site and following that weeks before they did anything. the upshot is that instead of some new lino, and carpet and drying out; I have had a new floor in the bathroom (builder out his foot through it!!) whole room retiled (badly), bedroom and sitting room painted (due to damage caused by humidity).

Asprea have completely failed to manage the claim - consistently causing delays to query the most trivial things. they even tried to make me pay out of my own pocket when one of their builders 'accidentally' pulled the ceiling down in my bedroom. The work still isn't finished!!!! Poor quality all round!

Aviva don't care - what do I do???
  • Just heard Asprea have laid off many of thier staff, how sad for the PCA's lots of effort with little reward, shame on you managers that ruined this company from the off.
There is still going to be an Asprea but very streamlined i am sure it will limp on for a few months maybe a year.
Glad i got out when i did, moved on to bigger and better. 5 month in new job and got promotion a company with vision ha ha.
To the lost PCA's i take my hat off to you for the work you did, you can go from this company with your heads held high. all the best for the future.

That could well be the worst advice ever given on this forum.:)
  • Thanks Insco

twotone - I'm not sure if you have already emailed me, but I think this might be a case of needing to take this offline so we can get it dealt with for you. I need more details which I don't want you to post online (policy specifics).

Well, if as I have suggested, twotone can post some feedback as how well Becca has helped then we can all assess whether it is or is not wise to recommend other moneysavers to Becca " Aviva Company Representative" when they have a problem
