I totally agree with you becca, these forums can invite negative comments and yes the easiest thing for myself and other colleagues whether still with the business or not would be to bad mouth the company and complain about anything and everything, that is not my aim. I wish i could pass on my details to you but for now will as i say keep my head down, as with most of these kind of Forums we have the Customers that have had problems, not the ones that have had a good service received but i can understand their grievance and how stressful the whole episode can be, i know it is clich! but we really do, or i do put myself in the position of the Customer, how would i like to be treated sort of thing. With commitment on all sides NU, Contractors, Surveyors, Asprea Management and PCA's we will get there, as the saying goes Rome was not built in a day....0

It seems to me Becca and Deputy, you're both that far down the food chain , things are not going to change, business is built on relationships which is at top level, so Deputy there are lots of family members as you stated in your previous posts, so either marry one or get divorced and marry one because there is no other way you are going to change anything within Asprea unless you are in the family.
Becca did you volunteer for this position or were you put there to absorb the lies from NU and Asprea?
The FOS made a statement in their annual review 'we continue to receive a significant number of insurance complaints about quality of repairs to properties under household policies and the timescales involved in repair work' until the insurance companies go back to how things were done years ago, we will always have this type of whinging, people like Asprea, Rok, Homeserve etc, etc, etc, need to get out of this business, also loss adjusters should not have contractor networks because every one of them are creaming off builders. Let policyholders have their own choice of using local builders and put in place an independent insurance policing force within themselves and CILA this will reduce the amount of complaints both for the insurer and the FOS.0 -
Well folks my time here is up, it is off to pastures new
whether i jumped or was pushed i will leave up to you to decide, seems that the company have decided to slow things down a bit no more overtime to catch up of delayed claims or any more intake of staff full time or temporary to ease the burden.
Becca thanks for the reply to my private email, NOT.0 -
Sorry to hear that Deputy. Good luck in whatever you decide to do next.0

I sincerely hope you were not pushed0

if NU had the !!!!!!!! to get rid of this muppet outfit and bring people like yourself inhouse and bring insurance professionals on board and start policing their claims in a correct and proper manner they may have half a chance of retaining business, they've just lost quite a lot of business to Towergate and Giles Insurance Brokers
They haven't actually. Towergate and Giles are two of NU's largest supporters in the broking business. Why? Nothing to do with the colossal commissions that they receive from, ahem, NU? And Towergate play little or no part in the claims process as they believe that their involvement adds no value to the client. Best to let them deal direct with the insurer.0 -

sorry cog, you need to get your facts right..
Both Towergate and Giles are pulling their business away from NU- FACT!
Giles have their own underwriting arm called INK- FACT!
And also have their own claims processing with MYI adjusting.. FACT!0 -
Why do you constantly watch this site beccus?
Is it for comments from Employees of Asprea past or present or to help Customers with their problems? i thought that was what Asprea were designed for? Why is it that an Office Manager has either left or resigned? this company throws up so many questions and not enough answers. Would be nice to have some of them answered and not just the NU policy line......0 -
Had a claim a few years back was handled great from a bob contractor of NU they surveyed got materials correct and carried out quality work.
No i have one with asprea the most incompetent co from bottom to top in the world,
pca untrained and clueless in most cases,
surveyors un educated in building works when he came to me i knew straight away he had limited knowledge the fact my wife children and dog were more aware. he then panicked and offered me cash settlement rather than as he said use there contractor who he claimed was rubbish and took ages as they were busy, ( not very professional i thought ) and if they are just cash settling why are asprea required.
anyways i did some digging and found out it was the same contractor as before who when they got involved turned things around so thank you to them,
the asprea managers are worse there are so many they dont even know who is what its almost comical
I for one will be changing insurance for house cars and business ect as i dont ever want to be involved with asprea again, NU need to have a rethink as asprea are way way way out of there depths0 -

Towergate will place business with whoever pays them most commission and if they are pulling business away from Norwich Union, it's more to do with the fact that NU have recently grown a pair and are resisting their demands.
Regarding Giles and Ink, just take a look at Ink's website and look who their main carrier is:
http://www.inkunderwriting.com/
As for their claims processing, isn't this outsourced to Lorega and don't Towergate actually sell this to their customers at a huge mark up?0
