What strategies do you have in place in the event that you don't forget what to say if you receive the winning call?

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time

I've learnt the phrase "Make me a winner" and say it for any call I get from any number I don't recognize at around 16.05 each weekday.
It's not exactly difficult to remember I would have thought, although I suppose under pressure you could utter something else by mistake instead.
You have to feel though for the people who answer "Hello", only then to be told they have just missed out of tens of thousands of pounds.
They must be gutted the people who do that.

I've got a reminder which pops up on my phone at 4pm every weekday - hopefully that will be enough to remind me.
I think it's reflex for people to answer with "Hello" and wish they could just pick a winner and that's that.
For some people, missing out on what - for most people - is a life changing amount, could just tip them over the edge....

I did have a call from an unknown number shortly after 4pm a few months ago - I did say "Make Me A Winner!" and it was my local police calling me

I look at my phone … if it’s between 16:00 & 16:11, I know to answer it with the relevant 4 word phrase.
like others have said - it’s 4 words & a specific timescale, so not exactly difficult to remember …
    Wins - £48k 2019, £5k 2020, £1000 2021, £280 2022 ... £196k to the £1/4 million target ...

One of the presenters said that one person has set their ringtone to MMAW, that’s a good idea if you think you’d forget to answer with the phrase. I’d like to think I’d be able to remember but we’re all only human and can be distracted/absent minded. I’m guessing many who don’t answer with the phrase, might be those who haven’t entered on that day and didn’t realise/forgot they were still included. I have a labelled alarm set at quarter to but it’s more to remind to finish all my entries but I guess it brings it to the forefront of my mind too.

No worries :-) & no, but the next days comp does open at 16:10 & the short text code to enter via sms is the same, so I assume that by then, they’ve chosen the random number & purged all the other entrants from the database; so in all likelihood, the call has probably been made by 16:11 …

Entries stay in for the full length of the competition, (for compliance reasons they probably have to keep them anyway) and even if each round was separate they only need to select one number, with reserves if required, and effectively can call until the call is aired.
(that said a couple of winners on here were called 16:07 and16:08)
