It's hardly the stations fault; they all state repeatedly to say the phrase through the entire day.
They do yes, but in this case, you enter once and you're in the draw every day.  It could be the person they call, entered weeks ago and had forgotten all about it and hadn't been listening to the radio since the day they entered.  I doubt people realise they're in every draw, most would assume that they were only in for the day they entered.
  • Does the presenter make this clear when they advertise the competition on air?  That entries are rolled over continually?

Well, everyone takes their chances when they enter.
Don’t read the T&C’s (which you have to scroll through to enter online for free) & miss out on a life changing sum of money, then that’s an expensive life lesson … even more so if it’s a paid for entry!
There’s only 1 person responsible for not saying the phrase or not answering the phone, regardless of why it wasn’t said or answered.

No they don’t, but why do they need to when it’s in the T&C’s?
If a car manufacturer offers a 7 year warranty, the adverts don’t continually state that the car has to be serviced at the manufacturer recommended intervals - that’s stated in the purchase contract that you sign to say you’ve read & agree to the contract & conditions.
Entering these comps online for free or texting in to them is just the same as a digital signature. By entering, you’re agreeing that you’ve read the T&C’s & are happy to agree to the rules.
Agreed that a lot, if not most people don’t read them, but that’s their prerogative & not the fault of whoever is running the comp.

Surely once someone has won an amount the draw starts again and one has to re-enter?  Does it not only roll over when someone doesn't win?
