It’s really very simple … if that’s the thought process, then people shouldn’t enter & the radio station should cease the competition.
That would be a bigger loss to a lot more people though.

No-one puts a gun to anyone’s head & forces them to enter, we ALL do it out of our own free volition, fully aware of the rules, terms & conditions & what is expected of us; in the hope we’ll be the one called.
The same as playing the lottery - no-one is forced to, but those that do so choose to - for whatever reason - & some reap staggering rewards.

you wouldn’t apply for a job, go through the interview process & get the job, then act surprised you were dismissed if you never turned up.

If people think it is cruel the answer is simple DONT ENTER OR  LISTEN, problem solved. Those of us that want to win will keep our phones by our sides and remember the amount/phrase

Well  I've never won the lottery but I have won a radio comp so I'll keep entering this and listen to their rules.

2 Rings "Hello" Today's didn't seem to know who she was, why she was ringing, or what he'd done.

Day 16- 2 rings gent says hello, presenter said I think did he know why she was calling and that as he had entered make me a winner. Gent said he was at work.  

   (£40,000.00p not won as a hello today and not make me a winner phrase). 

   Main radio presenter did say that they ring soon after the 4pm closing time. 
  Tomorrow’s amount- £45,000.00p

DustBunny, I thought same as well, he either is loaded and £40k is pennies to him or he might kick himself later when he realises!
