The thing is, it is a bargain, in the terms you mention. On the other hand people are paying £30 a week, when they are extremely unlikely to get anything back for it. I don't mean to come across as judgemental, but it's the difference between our 'free to enter' competitions and gambling. People are free to make their own choices, of course. But I fear that some who can't afford it are dragged into it, for the faint hope of winning a life-changing amount of money - and that's my issue. The more annoying it is for us to do the free entries, the more likely people are to shell out for it instead. £30 a week is a lot of money to throw away, for many of us.
Edit: Just to say, if anyone wants to carry on the discussion, as it is going slightly off topic, I suggest moving it to Compers Chat Corner. Feel free to open a new thread there, please tag me in and post the link here. That way, people can join in or ignore it as they please. If I were given a free lottery ticket, I wouldn't refuse it because of the low odds - you can win on one ticket so if time is tight or you find it frustrating to enter 150 times or whatever the limit is, just do what to are content with.
Personally, I find it hard to refuse a freebie but a couple of the last weeks, I have only managed 60 entries or so. That's how it is sometimes!
Merry Christmas all and again, many, many thanks to all who post the competitions for us all to enjoy 😉9 -
Just a reminder that it ends at 3pm today. I assume that means they are likely to phone the winner soon after 3pm, not soon after 5pm. But I don't think they specify that on their T&C, from what I could see.
