Hi All, my deadline is tomorrow so keen to get this submitted tonight / tomorrow morning.

Regards to appending the POPLA report - I have opted to have a link within the exhibit XX3 a long with the certain passage of text, is that okay?

V3 of my WS can be found here:

*amended to link to my WS rather than the claimants.

Thank you for all your pointers up till now, I believe I have implemented them all. Any last recommendations would be appreciated.

    Josh

I think it would be better to attach the whole report as an exhibit and either highlight the relevant parts, or repeat just the relevant parts as a stand alone paragraph but include the whole document as an exhibit.

I doubt a judge will be opening a random link unless it is to look at a Gov.UK site or a court case transcript.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

Any tips on reducing a 44 page document?  :s

At 44 pages I suspect it will be shorter than the claimant's WS.

Ignore me! I was trying to squeeze the 44 page document into my Word WS - as you mentioned I'll just attach it along with my own WS and reference it.

Claimant WS is 32 pages - mostly pictures of signs.
  • Hi All,

Just as an FYI for anyone following this trail - I phoned the court to ensure they had received my WS (they have) however it has not been processed. As it is over 50x pages they still need me to send a hard copy into the court along with all attachments etc.

Very odd, given no court has to print WS out any more in these days of remote hearings, it’s normal to send only an electronic copy, for the past year!

No idea why they want a paper copy too. I’d ring and ask why, given the pandemic changed all this a year ago and remote hearings and electronic bundles are the norm at county courts.

    And REALLY IMPORTANT PLEASE:

Please, please come back every week to check and make sure your voice - AND YOUR FRIENDS’ AND RELATIVES’ VOICES TOO -  is/are not missed from this final opportunity to take part in the Government Consultation, coming very soon!

  • No idea, the auto reply to my mail states:
"Documents, must not exceed 50 pages (25 double sided) or 2 megabytes, any email which does not comply with these rules will not be processed."

I will keep an eye out for following information, thank you.

Yes we know that, the standard court auto response has said that for years but it’s no longer true.  No court wants paper during this pandemic and no court needs to print any bundles. Judges sit remotely and access emails.

Phone and speak to someone more sensible tomorrow.

  • Hi All,

I hope you have been keeping well.

Court Hearing got vacated and pushed back to middle of October
DCB Legal phoned me Friday morning asking if I wanted to voluntarily settle - obviously not
Received a "N279" letter through in the post yesterday dated with Fridays date saying they had discontinued
Phoned the court today and there is no such note on the system, the hearing is still due in October

I am scanning the document in and sending to the court as requested over the phone, any other advice here?

    Thank you,
