Morning all
Good luck with it @jadewest94 stick with us, we have all been there, or I have at any rate - not a DMP as they didn't have them then, but debt for sure.Just been for a really chilly dog walk, I will be so glad when it warms up a bit - but I suppose it will rain then! Also been out to our poor abandoned old camper van and checked the first aid kit in there to see if anything was near date and needed bringing into the house and using up. Found one solitary paracetamol tablet in a box on its own, so brought it in and put it in another opened box.Today's small things:Check banks and sweep any 'spare' pennies into savings account towards conservatory renovationMake a loaf in the BM as the shopping isn't coming till tomorrow, and there is no way I am going to a shop for a loaf of bread and coming out £20 later!Check shopping order to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. Quite pleased with myself as this will be my first grocery shop of February
And it won't be a massive one, just fresh stuff, things to go with things that I already have to make meals (trying to run down freezers) and beer for OH. Might order a bottle of wine for me as well! Hoping not to have to shop again for another 2 weeks.Wash bathroom floorPack more ebay parcelsMake a big shepherds pie for dinner, enough for 2 days, will use up last of the potatoesMake a rice pudding to use up some of the milk before the milkman delivers again on Monday morning - we seem to have lots this week.3 -
Morning all. Happy Friday. My Friday treat is a bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. I have some mushrooms that need using up so I added a couple of those in too. Was lovely, even if I do say so myself.
Went out for my walk first thing this morning. Went out at 7.30 and walked for an hour. Today is big shop day, and DS3 is coming up for the weekend, so will mean buying extra, but I'm aiming for a maximum of £60 spend - £40 in Aldi and £20 in Sainsburys.
Other than that, it's just the usual from me - have checked online banking and updated spreadsheet and groomed the cat. Picked up a couple of free newspapers while I was out on my walk. DS2 and I have a bit of friendly competition to see who can complete the crossword the quickest.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done5 -

I have just received my first M@rris@ns winter veg box. If you haven't tried one yet, it is well worth the £15 cost, which includes delivery. My box contained: 2 Swedes, broccoli,sprouts,4 large leeks,2 bags wonky carrots, bag of parsnips, large cauliflower, Savoy cabbage and baking potatoes. It came in a sturdy box, well packaged with 2 ice blocks & a layer of 100% pure wool in a sealed bag. I will reuse the wool as fleece to protect plants or maybe to stuff a draught excluder. It was quite exciting opening the box, almost like Christmas!

Hi February Frugalistas,Was awake at 7.00am so have gotten up make a start. I have a list of frogs to eat today. The frogs are oppressing my spirit.Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Six:Checked online banking.Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.Turn off Wifi box when not using it.We have decided to have a roast dinner for Valentine's instead of spending £35-£45 for a special takeaway from our local takeaways/restaurants. We have been buying from them regularly since lockdown, but £35-£45 is too much. The local supermarket deals didn't look good for value either.Fridge leftover omelette for breakfast.Home haircut.Go to some free online events.Reconcile finances.Read meters. Done! We're still in credit.Repair fleece jacket.FROGS:Clean the Study. This is gonna be a big job. Done.Empty my In Tray. This is psychologically a big job. I have been brave and begun by throwing out the junk in there leaving only the parts that need doing. I'm really struggling with this already. 😥 But I've made a start already, that's something isn't it?
