    Morning everyone

A very light covering of snow here in the Midlands. It's still snowing, but very small flakes.
Had to go shopping yesterday but, as I only needed a few bits, I walked to Aldi rather than take the car. Spent £6.30 out of the £20 I've budgeted. Picked up some stir fry veg and a pack of beansprouts, both at 75% off, and I have some meat left over from Sunday dinner, so today's tea will be a stir-fry. Dinner (lunch) will be salad and new potatoes. Survived the second evening of my self-imposed "no alcohol on a school night" challenge.

Filled out a form via my union for a potential tax rebate, will wait and see what comes of that. Long-standing forumites may remember that I'm a single dad with an autistic DS2 at home. He's now 21. DS1 has moved away and DS3 lives with my ex. Since the very unexpected death of my sister three weeks ago, I'm very conscious that, if anything happened to me, things would fall to DS2 to sort out, at least initially, and none of the kids would have a clue about who my solicitor is or what accounts. pensions and insurances etc. I have, so I've started to compile a list, Not trying to be morbid, just practical, as I don't want them to be stressing any more than they have to, or missing out on a payment they were entitled to because they didn't know about it. Rather than make it an onerous exercise, I'm just adding a couple of things to the list each day, as and when I think about them.

    Tasks for today:
Check banking and update spreadsheet - Done,
NSD - all meals from stores
Go for a 'wellbeing walk' at around midday
Cat is due her flea treatment
Phone dentist, as they are back open again

    Have a good day everyone.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

    Afternoon all :)
Thanks for starting us off Ally. Nice busy thread this week. I think I posted on last week's yesterday.... one week just merges into the next atm, or is that just me?
@Karb I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please take care.
Feeling spectactularly unmotivated today for some reason, was awake for ages in the night, so that is probably it. Did a good dog walk, cleared up the kitchen, put on a wash, listed a couple of bits on ebay and that is it so far. It is very cold again, and keeps snowing, though only flurries of small flakes so it doesn't really cause any problems. I need to go outside in a minute and tidy up after the dog, but struggling to force myself to put on my coat and wellies.  Brrrr!
Also ought to redo freezer inventory and check banks.
Not much done, but not spent anything either.

    Evening all!
Not much going on here, managed to get a potato and leek soup mix for 30p as well as some reduced corn on a cob! I really need to sort out the spare room but it's something I keep putting off! I still haven't done a budget either
