Using the same loss assessor – good idea?

Home insurers are not often in the position of making recoveries etc, plus they normally have tiers of claims staff from the modestly trained front line to the highly trained handlers dealing with multi-million pound losses. The former are easy to get hold of and they get more difficult to get to speak to as you go further back/up. As a consequence front life do occasionally overstep their training and give duff information.Paul2837 said:Hi Sandtree. That's a long way from what they actually told me - my cynicism in insurance companies is restored
You are unfortunately in an area that is relatively rare, back in my claims days we had circa 2.5m Home customers and still recoveries and third party claims were passed across to the Motor team as it wasnt worth the effort of setting up a dedicated team in the Home division for the volumes.1
