Vueling flight credit....will never use in time

HiI have a Vueling flight credit for £1k, which I had to take as they weren't refunding. This runs out April 2022 but the way things are I can't see this being used by then. I have read nearly all of the info and I know that anyone can use the voucher but as most of my friends , family are in the same age group as me 59 +,…

I don’t think a chargeback would have been appropriate. I suspect this is a case of the travelling party not being willing or able to fly to Spain because of a FCDO travel advisory with the flight operated but they just were not on it.
