SUPANET Broadband

I am having a nightmare with this company, I was conned into the contract thinking it was BT, there speeds are awful everything in the house keeps buffering and they now want £450 for me to get out the contract, I was promised the world when I took the contract out, then after a week or so I asked about the cooling off period only to be told it was from the date I signed up, how can you have a cooling off period from the date you sign up and you have not yet tried the product?
I really think people should be aware of this company and there conning tactics, if you google them there is not one good review, and also a few reviews stating the same problem I encountered thinking it was BT!!!!!
I feel physically sick even mentioning this company's name, would anyone have any advise on how to get out of this contract or is there any legal advice I can take?
would be interesting to hear if anyone else has any experience with these rip off merchants!!!

Have you signed up on a business tariff per chance? You get cooling off periods on domestic tariffs but not business ones.

no just a normal tarriff0

Why did you think they were BT? If you have some evidence of misrepresentation it may be worth investigating if that affects the validity of the contract1

i googled BT broadband and stupidly called the number in front of me they advertised as BTsupanet when clearly they are just supanet, there is other evidence of this in some of the reviews I have read, and also when i spoke to the advisor i was under the impression i was on the phone to BT and so should he of been, he asked me for my email address i told him my current BT one was still active he said no you need a new email address for a new account surely this is miss selling me a product?
they say they record all phone calls for training and other purposes but where do these calls go?0 -
