ancientofdays said:Oh dear I left out custard, vile gloop. And milk puddings, except the burnt bit on top, and peas which are a really pointless vegetable.
AOD - did you see Celebrity Best Home Cook last night? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000rymp The secret ingredient was frozen peas, seeing Ed Byrne have a rant about this 'pointless' vegetable is something you may well enjoy.

Loving all the food stories, I like most foods though have terrible trouble with the texture of potatoes these day, eat a tiny bit (no matter how it is cooked) and then gag. I can manage very crisp French fries, but loathe floppy, slimy chips AOD you can tell the OH you are not alone! Nanny I too had a really energetic day yesterday, but have just zonked today, doesn't help that it is dark, drab and bucketing down.
Sat in the car while OH went in for his vaccination this morning, got a bit chilly as he arrived promptly for 11:45 appointment and emerged at 12:15 having been told not to drive for another 15 minutes, it is a new vaccination site and he said that they seemed very light on Admin bodies. We drove 1/2 mile to the farm shop and enjoyed a posh coffee and some very nice ginger biscuits sitting in the car as a treat.
Sending hugs and spoons to all that need them, as always thinking of Ruby and family and Marie.
Monnogran - I have not made the Stollen Bites yet, but will post a link to the website when I do.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)9 -
Gers I could look at that on the Iplayer, I don't tend to watch TV very often, in fact I can't remember the last time. I do watch stuff on HamazoonPrimus or the Iplayer.
My mse bit for today is homemade soup from a leftover bit of onion, a carrot, a potato and the outer leaves of a cabbage.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back8 -
I started something with my tomato skins. AOD, peppers make me ill as well but I have no problem with pineapple. I love baked beans with lots of things but never cold. I also cannot stand the smell and taste of coffee the drink but love coffee flavoured cakes and desserts, how weird is that.8

Nelski - my dad used to eat tripe too. It was the only time I was allowed to take my tea into the living room. Everything else we were all given the same and had to sit till you'd finished it. Probably why I let my own girls be more fussy.
My brother once made a rabbit pie and put a rabbit cut out of pastry on the top - I cried and didn't have to eat that one - I think I was a teenager though!
At school I hared both rice pudding and semolina - if the dinner lady was in a good mood she's let you just have the runny jam sauce in your bowl.
Nowadays I eat most things - not too hot or spicy though. I could happily eat fish every day, especially smoked salmon and prawns! I only like mince if its made into bolognese and i cook it for ages - my mam made awful gristly mince when I was little.
I had teeth out yesterday and a new denture fitted - it's still very painful. The dentist gave me antibiotics in case I have an infection...hoping I sleep better tonight
