I have around 60,000 Avios points, can I now link my accounts and convert all the Avios to Nectar?

ending today is an avios intro offer - convert 1600 nectar points into 1000 avios points and you will receive 500 bonus avios points in the coming months. When posted I will convert the 1500 avios back to nectar making myself an easy £4

forgot to add... double points for shopping at Sainsbury's if you transfer the above 1600 points until 19th april

Converting Avios to Nectar points on the BA website wasn't possible on 16/02/2021 and still isn't today.  I can't post active links in this forum (newbie) but the relevant hard-to-find BA website page's URL looks remarkably like:

If you try, a message will pop up: "Avios to Nectar conversion unavailable.  We are sorry, Avios to Nectar conversion isn’t currently available online.  If you want to convert your Avios to Nectar points please call us on 0344 49 333 03 between 9 am - 5 pm (Monday to Friday)."

So, I called the phone number (12 minute wait for answer) and swapped 250 Avios to 400 Nectar. Was told that it may take 10 days (but probably less) to show up in my Nectar account.  When I asked when the Avios to Nectar swap would be available on their website I was told "in a month or less".

Seems to me they are trying to make  Avios to Nectar swaps hard to do.

Yes I got that impression on being told to phone.....Can you only swap 250 at a time....or is that all you chose to swap...

Addendum......Phoned at 9am....got straight through, went through a few security questions and all done in 10 minutes, managed to convert my remaining 6250 Avios(the leftovers after having 3 wonderful full board fortnights in Madeira) which(under the present climate) I was prepared just to let expire.....Thanks to Martins Newsletter I spotted the Nectar swap...

still getting message when trying to convert avios to nectar.  maybe too many avios flying out to Sainsbury for IAG/BAs liking?

Yes...if you read ML1550's post above, he mentions this....All you have to do is phone them on the number they supply on that same page, and you will get your conversion done in minutes(I think it took me 10 mins in total...they obviously have to carry out security checks)....I think the person who answered the phone told ML1550 that the online part of this swap(Avios to Nectar) would be set up within a month.
