TalkTalk - No Fibre Installations until Late April!

After spending an hour of my time going through the order, turns out they're not instructing Openreach to install new fibre lines until late April, so if you're looking to get away from Virgin Media, don't look at TalkTalk.
Rubbish!

Assuming you’re referring to TT Future Fibre (Openreach based FTTP) then this will most likely be down to lack of Openreach staff availability in your area. You’re highly likely to get the same issue with other CPs selling OR FTTP.

Location? What Exchange and Cabinet number? What service (ADSL, FTTC, FTTP)? Who is your current ISP, or is a new line installation needed?
My eldest is waiting months for Virgin to install to his new-to-him home in W.Yorks (for similar staffing reasons, probably)? No FTTC at his exchange (and that's none, not no capacity available).
https://www.openreach.com/covid-19-coronavirus details Openreach's current policy on work needed inside homes.

I did read your post. So can you clarify whether you tried to order FTTC or FTTP? Because there’s a massive difference between the two on how they’re provisioned.anotheruser said:

Read the post again - no fibre installations of any kind until April.Whether FTTC or FTTP, TT rely on Openreach. You’ve been fed porkies by TT if they’re telling you FTTC installs have been stopped until April. For a start most FTTC activations don’t require an Engineer visit to the home as the necessary work is done at the cabinet. Also "new fibre lines" are totally irrelevant to FTTC, as FTTC runs over existing copper.for the final part.0
