A few questions..
Is this is a more mainstream card than Vanquis and Capital One?
I'm hoping to improve my credit worthiness. I very recently got accepted for Capital One with a £200 spending limit. Also have Vanquis for £500 and this limit hasn't changed in 17 months.
With Barclaycard they offered me a £1200 limit straight away. Does being accepted mean my credit report is looking more healthy? Will I be able to improve on my score and get better Barclaycard products in the future?
Is it a good idea and get rid off the Vanquis card, I only owe £0.79 on it?

It’s a better card than the other two - although the apr is still high - but that won’t matter if you’re doing what you should be doing and paying in full every month.
With the Barclaycard if you make your payments on time every month for a year - they reduce your apr a little.Don’t close any cards or accounts - keep using them as well for small purchases and again paying in full every month. The score isn’t important - only your history - and if you keep following your current path - your history will continue to improve.1 -
I'm a bit concerned, Barclaycard said they are sending me an email but haven't received it yet? Its been 20 minutes.0

20 minutes is nothing. Chase up in a couple of days if you haven't heard anything.1

Don’t panic just give things time.
I had one to build my credit and it worked, certainly after a year it had a big impact. They also reduced my rate twice in 8 months way ahead of the 24 months they state on the website.
The only complaint I have is they never allowed a credit increase. Obviously I didn’t fit their criteria/wasn’t the customer for them.
But it allowed me to then jump into an Amex and other mainstream lenders so I can’t complain.
Keep it ticking over now just for a coffee/Disney+ subscription.I always liked the app for it too.2 -

It'll probably be because a human being has to do something or other to complete a process -after which you'll get the email.

I was just accepted for a barclaycard. They did a verify my income electronically thing through my bank and I was accepted for £1200 card. But on the initial form I filled in I put my income in as £15000 a year but only have £7000 a year going into my bank account they checked. It still got approved.. My appointee who manages my benefits pays me a personal allowance a week = £7000 a year Would this be a problem if they look into it further into it? Or would the acceptance not of gone through if any discrepancies?

If your income is £15k - and you've said £15k - there's nothing to worry about. Not everyone has all their income going into one bank account.1

I'm very excited to get this card, it feels like my hard work improving my finances and managing money better is paying off. I've no debt, 10k savings. A good income. I won't feel judged when using barclaycard as I think with Vanquis people who know, know!0 -

if instantly accepted would they go back on their word and then decline me? I still haven't received conformation email.0
