Poorly made coat
kasu
I purchased a coat through a boutique online clothing company. After 2 weeks wear, it’s worn really badly, the liner has bobbled extensively, the stitching has ripped and the pocket has come apart. I have sent photos to the seller advising it is faulty and of poor quality and I’d like a replacement or refund. After 4 emails back and forth, including me quoting my consumer rights, they are standing firm that they will not refund as I have removed the tags (which clearly I would if i was wearing it) and can not offer a replacement as it is out of stock. I don’t want vouchers and have told them so, as I wanted a coat and if they are unable to replace like for like I’d like a refund so I can source one elsewhere. They just keep responding saying I removed the tags therefore they won’t refund.
What do you suggest as I don’t believe this is fair or correct. Having already quoted consumer rights 2015 I’m a little unsure what my next step should be.
Thanks in advance

Talk to your bank about a chargeback on your credit or debit card.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
How much was the coat, how did you pay, where is the company based?1

Paid by debit card, it was £80 to a UK company. So can’t go to bank I don’t think0

A few seconds on Google and you've got the owner's LinkedIn page which has their phone number: https://www.linkedin.com/in/charlottecooperpb/photome said:
