Any BT broadband customers on here ?
Im moving to BT and not sure which package to go for, Ive got an Xbox, Fire Stick and tablet that would connect to the wifi.
I can go as high as Full Fibre 900 but I think its a bit overkill, would Fibre 1 or 2 fulfill my needs ?
Thanks

How fast is your internet now? Is it fast enough for what you do with it? If so, why pay for Fibre 900? You'd have more internet speed than you know what to do with.1

Speed test brings up 49.3 for download and 10Mbps for upload.0 -

Full fibre 1 50mb download
Full fibre 2 is 74mb download
Full fibre 100 150mb download
Full fibre 300 300mb download
Full fibre 900mb download
I think the last 3 packages are overkill for my needs, if I were to go for Full fibre essential its £1 more to go for Full fibre 1, Im thinking Full fibre 1 or 2 would be more suited for me.0 -
Full Fibre 2 (80/20 Mbps) should be enough for your needs and this is showing as £33.99/m on the BT website. However if you order via the link below, you can get Full Fibre 100 (160/30 Mbps) service for £29.99/m. Bit of a no brainer paying £4 less each month and getting double the download speed....

Also the last three packages are FTTP - Is your home already connected to the BT fibre network (or is it available in your neighbourhood) ? If not you are restricted to FTTC packages.DCFC79 said:

FTTP 74/20 will give you enough incoming speed .Used to be known as 80/20 .BT Smarthub 2 is a decent WiFi router .1

The first 3 packages are also FTTP. The OP in his first post has said that they can go as high as Fibre 900 so they’ve clearly got Openreach FTTP available at their property. FTTC is irrelevant to the OP.brewerdave said:

I would suggest Fibre 100 (usually 150Mb) if you can get that for £29.99
They are usually on cashback sites too.0 -
