Hi, does Zoom work OK on standard broadband?
I'm thinking of putting in NowTV Brilliant Broadband - with guaranteed 7Mb/s download and 0.8-1.1Mb/s upload.

It's whether the upload is good enough.
Any experiences feel free to share.
Thanks

No experience of Zoom with such low speeds, although my upload speed is only around 2.5Mbps and it works fine for me.
If you disable your sending video then I'd guess it would work fine, but of course that's not much use if two-way video is important to you.
Zoom specifies the following bandwidth requirements, which suggests that those speeds would be ok for 'high quality' video but would be borderline for HD video.

We have used Zoom on our standard ADSL2 connection - we get ~ 16Mb down , ~ 0.9Mb up - its OK for family conversations but not sure whether it would be good enuf for business meetings.1

I've used on our ADSL2 connection for business meetings including sharing screens, we get 12MB down and 1.1Mb up and it's fine. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

It should work but you really are on the bare minimum for the upload side and if anybody else in the house is trying to use the bandwidth at the same time the call could lead to stuttering audio and video.
Not sure what else you use in the house but 7Mb/s download would be swamped with just one Netflix feed on HD, it wouldn't do 4K which uses around 15Mb/s.
Personally I would go for the next up package if you can afford the extra £5.1
