Halifax Online Dealing - charges

Halifax Share Dealing's annual fee of £12.50 is going up to £36 wef April 2021.
Is it worth switching to iWeb which charges a one-off charge of £100 and no annual fee?
What's the relationship between Halifax Share Dealing and iWeb? And what happens to my £100 if iWeb gets taken over or wound-up (say) 2 years after I switch to them?

HSD and iWeb are the same company HSD Ltd just two different brands using with the same technology in different colours. The only reason I can see of staying with HSD would be if you make extensive use of the £2 regular/scheduled buying rate. Do the maths on when the breakeven point is for how long it would take your usage pattern to save the £100 setup under the iWeb pricing model. If iWeb pricing further changes, or more likely get merged into the HSD brand, or the whole company gets sold to Interactive Investor who seem to be buying almost all other small platforms then you will probably not get your £100 back.

The changes make Halifax a dead duck unless making 12 or more deals a year I have a x-o account may move it in there or into the company partner Equiniti as most of my shares currently come through a company share scheme this may make logical sense.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
