I have also contacted the forum team and got nowhere. I have stopped using the forum- I had it as part of my home page since 2006 or so. The solution is to employ more people to do the admin, plenty of people seeking employment now who would be glad of a job. I only popped in today as someone replied to a subscribed thread, last time I popped in was 4-5 months ago. Shame is I really miss the site but if they cease one of the forums I am interested my only option is to remove my self. Won't hold my breath waiting on a response @baldelectrician
That makes sense - employ more people on a money saving website to service a forum that only requires more people to service it when it is running.
I still say the easier option is to remove the report button, that would stop the serial reporters as they would then need to open their email account and write the report from there.
Might be a daft question but can't we just restart the discussion here? I have just returned to the forum (after many years) to look for some discussion about this topic. I need some guidance about the projected ecominc outlook etc.....

But the topic is banned, the experts will be in the saving/investments forum. But go off-topic too much and you could get banned?
I am not banned as I have been a good boy, but I do not have this site in my home pages any more I have made a decision to 'ban' MSE in my own little world- no visits until this is sorted, which is a shame as I really enjoy helping (on the house forum for instance) The only reason I visited today was an email on this thread IMO this is becoming a touch concerning- what's the point of a forum if they restrict the freedom of speech? I had been a daily visitor since 2006, but no more.
