Aldermore DIP

Comments

  • I had a DIP with Aldermore & submitted full application on 12/02/21. The seller has been clear she wants date of entry to be 26/03/21. I am a first time buyer & I am unsure if this is a unrealistic timescale? I don’t want to let the seller down if this is not approved in time & then the seller has to pay the stamp duty. Does anyone know Aldermores timescales? I used a mortgage broker & have sent everything they requested. Thanks

We submitted application on the 6th jan, received offer on the 4th feb. Exchanging tomorrow and completing next week. So I guess your timescale may be achievable although I’m sure all applications are different.

My full application with Aldermore went in on 29/01/21 but documents weren’t sent until 05/02/21. On Friday,  Aldermore said they had apparently not received one of my payslips (although MA certain everything was sent correctly. Payslip has now been sent and they confirmed they have it but I’m likely to go to the back of the queue again 😕 Aldermore are currently taking 5 working days to complete their initial underwrite so if you haven’t heard anything by end of the week, it may be worth your MA chasing them as mine only found out about the missing payslip when he chased for an update - they were about to cancel my application 😬
Don’t forget, once you have the mortgage offer, the conveyancing starts and that’s the part that usually takes the longest - anywhere between 6-8 weeks if no hiccups and you also have to factor in possible further delays due to covid.
Please keep me updated as I’m really anxious about my application as my affordability is extremely tight! Good luck 🤞🏼

Ohh really thank god you checked! Hopefully that’s everything they need to process your application! I will definitely be chasing mine up now! The solicitor has been really good my offer had been accepted on Monday & they started the process but the MA could not complete full application until Friday. I am hoping because I am in Scotland they can accept the home report & I don’t need to wait on a survey. Since Monday I have read everything I possibly could have about Aldermore mortgages & stressing myself out! lol, I suppose I just need to wait now. I will keep you updated. Good luck 🤞 I am sure it will all work out for u 💗

Yes I’ve been reading up as much as possible- one minute convinced they will reject me, then after reading something else, thinking I’m in with a good chance 😩 the wait is awful isn’t it?
Have you checked with the solicitor about any fees you may have to pay if for some reason you don’t get the mortgage offer? Not sure if it’s different in Scotland but i’m pretty sure in Wales you would still be billed for their time and any searches they had completed.

I am the exact same, its driving me mad! The solicitor paperwork states if either parties withdraw from the transaction before the missives are concluded, there is no financial penalties due. I assumed until the missives are signed I am not liable - I hope so anyway!

Oh, I’m not sure what missives are 😩😂 I’m sure it will be fine, surely they would make you aware of any costs incurred!

Hi, I'm so glad I found this. My application went in with Aldermore Friday and I'm so relieved I'm not the only one convinced they might say no! Just curious, with the valuation, does the lender let you know when they are doing it or my broker? Might be a stupid question lol. Thanks for any replies!
