Vodafone upgrade query

Hi all,
I need some help understanding my options for upgrading.
I am eligible for an upgrade now and my preferred handset is an iPhone 12.
The best deal that has been offered to me by Vodafone is 100GB data with £19 upfront for £53.55pm.
However, on the following page, Carphone Warehouse have a deal on the iPhone 12 on the Vodafone network. It charges just £43 a month and £29 upfront while supplying 100GB of data.

In fact, most of the deals on this page are better than what Vodafone are offering.
I cannot understand why Vodafone cannot at least match one of these deals. They have told me that these deals are on new numbers and I won't get the same warranty on your device, and in some cases once stores are open I will not have local support.
Is this correct? Could anybody please help explain to me a bit further?
Many thanks,
Peter

Its true that the company you buy the handset from is responsible for supporting the handset (eg if it became faulty). So you’ll want to compare their policies to see if it’s a genuine saving. So for example, if the handset played up the Vodafone store wouldn’t be able to offer anything other than basic advice.Your consumer rights would also be against the place you purchased the phone. It’s true that new customers often get a better deal, so you’ll want to compare the cost of upgrading via different companies rather than upgrading vs new connection.1

Most networks won't match a dealer price as they feel that, that devalues they plan...

OPWarranty is what usually comes with the phone free from the manufacturer ie Apple and is subject to their terms .Its not your Consumer Rights under the law that is against the vendor/ seller of the phone . Note the network may not be the seller .1

Ask for them for your PAC .. you don’t have to use it. They should call you back and maybe offer a deal. The CPW deal will be fine .. you’ll just need to transfer your number out for a few days .. so added hassle.0

You'll get a 12m manufacturer's warranty on the iPhone, wherever you buy it. That contract is 24m, but that doesn't mean the handset warranty is 24m too.
If you want a 2 year warranty, then buy it at JL outright, which will be much cheaper anyway: £1,047 vs £799. Add a competitive SIM only deal, maybe £10 a month, and you're done.
If you can't afford to buy outright (though in that case you shouldn't probably be spending £1K+ on a phone), then buy from Apple using their 0% Apple finance, same price as JL, though with the 12m warranty only.
The RAM on that Foneshop offer is only 64GB, which is not very generous on a £1K handset.
How much data do you actually use-do you really need 100GB or more?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
