Two members of the extended family under 70 with no underlying conditions vaccinated in different parts of the country. Over 80 year old CEV in hospital for other reasons wasn't.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Are there any other people in my age group, reasonably healthy, who have been offered a seat on the vaccine bus?

Being healthy isn't going to stop you catching Covid and suffering badly. Utilising a lot of valuable healthcare resource. The vaccine reduces the possibility of an early demise. Remember it's not about you but the whole community.

I know a teacher and a social worker that have had the vaccine, neither are CEV or even CV, and I don't think either are 30 yet.
They do both live in the same county, so may be down to the locality, I also think their county may have been top on vaccines delivered last week??

Yes because of their job. My daughter is 23 of perfect health but works in care home for children, she had hers on Wednesday.
  • One of my colleagues is early 30's very fit and healthy, had covid last October but is still suffering with long covid, he said it's far worse than when he had the actual virus. I'd be doing all I could  to avoid it

  • Well our prime minster is mid 50s and he was really ill. So I'd definately take it, however invincible you may feel at times.

I don’t think the OP has said they don’t want it. They were just curious about the age groups currently being offered it.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

While there's overall objectives. At ground level there's going to be many different variables to be considered. Time is of the essence. Otherwise we'd end up like the EU bureaucrats in Brussels. Wrapped up in red tape . Achieving nothing.  Now that's embarrassing.

Well said - at least "we" seem to be doing right on this occasion - no doubt the haters will still find something  to hate about

It’s because your area is doing particularly well. They finished appointments for the 70+ group in the last couple of days. Take it because it’s your turn.
meanwhile my area, right next door is still on the 70-80 group and will be for another week or two!
Plus you know you want to know if you had the vaccine or the placebo in the drug trial!

Yes, I'll be told on Tuesday morning, which is just about in time to cancel the Wednesday morning appointment.

Interestingly, the trial doctor has written:
" [By Tuesday] I should know more about plans that Novavax are considering re amending the trial design so we can keep learning from this trial and at same time ensure everyone is protected (ie vaccinated). "

I interpret that as meaning that they don't want me to go and get the Pfizer/AZ vaccine and they are going to offer to vaccinate me with the Novavax vaccine, so that they can continue to get some useful data from me.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
