MSE Member Since 2003 But Locked out of Account

Unsure if this is the right place to put this but being a bit annoyed, who cares.
I'd been a member of MSE since 2003, but hadn't been logging on so much in the last year with other things on in life.
Unfortunately MSE changed their servers during this period, which meant the next time I logged in I was required to reset my password.
However the email I'd used to setup my MSE account back in 2003 was a Blueyonder account from Telewest which became Virgin Media. Unfortunately I Iost that email account when I left Virgin couple years back, although I'm back with them they no longer offer Blueyonder accounts.
Which has meant I'm now locked out of my original account.
Has anyone had a similar experience and managed to sort it, or got any suggestions?

Re-Register with a new account seems to be the easiest way. Which you’ve obviously already done - just carry on with this account.
The search function is dreadful now, so the changes of finding older threads etc are pretty low.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You have had that account for 6 years so just use it, consider it a chance to start afresh as a lot of the posting records were lost when MSE came to this new platform and no-one really cares about how long you have been a member anyway (except the spam filters)2
