  • You can get some really good value wedding dresses second hand. I got mine for £70 from a second hand shop (see image). And so many people said they'd been surprised as they couldn't tell it was second hand (and my dress would have been more than £1k new). It took a lot of searching to find one I liked at a suitable price. It's probably a bit harder with all the charity shops closed, but a quick google has shown me lots of second hand wedding dress shops with dressers for less than £200.
    (PS - I also made the flower arrangements myself. I bought ribbon and pins and the two big bunches of red//white flowers from the florist and made button holes and posies... and 5 buttons holes and two posies cost around £20... lots of ways to save money, as they see the word "wedding" and try and overcharge).
