Ooooh, use the public loos near the Van Gough museum :j
They are a real novelty, being made of glass so you can see right in them!
When you lock the doors they mist over so no-one can see you though, and in the gents they have TV screens playing cartoons ????
Good fun, never seen them anywhere else before.
Also my fav resturant is in Amsterdam, BOJO's yeaaaaaaah.

what else is there to do in the @dam, other than the things already mentioned.. and the van gogh museum? im currently deliberating between a trip to paris and a trip tp amsterdam, and paris is currently leading because of there being much more to do (well, things that immediatly spring to mind anyway)

Quite a while since I've been to either but I'd plump for Paris.

If you ever do Holland I'd suggest Rotterdam with day trips to other places like :

Delft - stunningly pretty fabulous, fabulous place
Gouda - Nice square and amazing town hall

    like the Dutch people too

    see ya Pavlovs :kisses2:
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
    Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

    Tend to agree.

Maybe caught someone on the wrong day.
  • I would definitely recommend hiring bikes. You can do this from Central Station and it is by far the best way to see Amsterdam.

The Cannabis College is good in the Red Light District, depending on the staff you may even get a toot on a water pipe ;)

My biggest tip is do not take photos of the working girls, I saw a fat yank who tried, he had his camera ripped from his hands and he was shoved into the canal.:T

Also avoid the mushroom omelette's available at some cafes

If anyone is planning on booking a trip, i booked flights today for £36 in the Easyjet sale. I was there last year and had a blast. Its such a laid back place, apart from the lagered up hooligans there for the drugs and sex.

Can anyone recommend a good hotel?
