I'm an idiot - two separate charges

Apologies - I missed that. This is the bit I was referring to, and it made me think I'd missed the stage in this process where complaining to the retail centre management would be appropriate. Keep me right, please - is there a rough template I could use? Apologies if it's in the sticky thread and I've missed it. I also see some chat about sending bank statements from the date in question as proof of the purchases you made (if you don't have a paper receipt), is this a good idea or does it implicate me further? I won't mention who was driving.

There is no time limit on complaining to the retailer, particularly if you compose a well crafted letter explaining how angry you feel at being driven away from [name_of_store] and if every shopping trip comes with a £100 surcharge, neither, you, your family, nor your friends can afford to shop at [name_of_store] ever again.GC41 said:Yeah, I did read that @Le_Kirk but it says to complain to the retailer 'very quickly' and clearly that window has closed. And as I said, my question is based on the fact that I have two charges for the same place. Constructive advice would be welcome but I already feel like an idiot (as my post clearly states) so anything other than constructive really isn't helpful.2 -
But what ever you do don't think you are dealing with cuddly parking attendants or a company that has a reasonable customer care program like John Lewis. These are all the same bottom feeding scumbags that will try any twisted trick in the book to get their ill gotten gains.Don't go off piste with this or they will use any loophole to trap you.2

Thanks @Le_Kirk @fisherjim, I'll put together an email and send it to them. Hopefully they'll revoke it and even if they don't, hopefully it'll die out. If I'm this worried about a debt recovery letter, imagine what I'd be like with the threat of a court appearance?! You guys would have to block me! 🙈 😂2

There is a successful complaints sticky thread near the top of the forum , use it for letter writing inspiration
Use the royal WE in the letter , WE visited your store , WE received a PCN , WE are extremely upset
Also tell them they do not have the legal right or your permission to pass your complaint to the parking company but must deal with it themselves1 -
Thanks @Le_Kirk. Just one more question. When I write to them, should I give some explanation for not having bought a ticket (eg first time, flying visit to collect essentials and medicine, second time - another customer suggested the machine wasn't working) or should I avoid any mention of not buying a ticket and focus on the disproportionate nature of the 'fine'?0

Make no admission of any potential culpability. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Nobody should be admitting anything at all !! It's called no comment in police interviews
The onus is on the claimant to prove their case against a defendant
the first legal hurdle is Keeper liability , none in Scotland
The second is signage , generally poor , inadequate and confusing
The third is culpability , whose fault was it ? An occupant of the vehicle who did or didn't pay , tried to pay but couldn't , frustration of contract due to a faulty machine ??
The Fourth is , is it the correct defendant sitting in the dock ? The defendant could be a passenger and was not the driver on the day !!
The claimant must pass those tests and more , do not assist the claimant in any way , because it's been known that letters and emails become shared data
Think about it !!0
