There is no CIFAS check for a savings account with Coventry Building Society (also the case with Yorkshire Building Society when they operated payment accounts but they dont do them any more)
Any basic building society account does not do a CIFAS check (nationwide excepted)
Theres plenty to chose from depending on where you live

I speak from experience I have the marker and I applied to both of those companies and others for savings accounts and was unsuccessful because of CIFAS, so unless something has changed in last 12 months I’m correctBrownTrout said:

Why would I make this up? I wanted an account desperately at the time before I obtained think money and then later on Monzo which I now use to this day, I applied for 6 savings accounts, all were opened and then later closed because of CIFAS if you want to encourage the OP to waste time applying then feel free but I have the marker you don’t and I know what I have and haven’t been able to obtainBrownTrout said:

I have assisted many people off forum who have had various different CIFAS markers (ranging from 1 to 8) get basic accounts such as those mentioned without issue. The last one was in November with a CAT 5 marker.Jamesyb123 said:

Have you checked to see if other transactions have passed through your daughters account. Sounds a case of being used as a money mule. Unfortunately a common occurrence these days.Beverley said:£90 appeared in my daughter's bank account and then her bank suspended her account pending investigations after someone made an accusation against her re fraud. She denied it and had no idea who the person was and no idea how they had even obtained her bank details to pay any money in.1
