Rubbish left behind

Hi , I ordered an large item and then had to cancel the order due to personal circumstances and the company still delivered the item and refunded me , I contacted them and they collected the item but the courier that collected it did not have a tail lift and took the item
off the pallets and left me with the rubbish , and it’s not something that will fit in a car to take to recycling centre , Iv contacted the company and they are not willing to do anything about it , do it stand anywhere with this ? Not looking for any horrible comments currently
going through a hard time

Is this the 'unsolicited' bathroom order that you wanted advice on?
I think it's perhaps a case of karma.9 -
If this is the bathroom suite you accepted delivery of and hoped to keep, despite having cancelled the order and having received a refund, I'm afraid you have rather caused yourself the headache.
Ask a friend or neighbour if they'll dispose of it for you, perhaps? Pallets are always useful to someone, and the other packaging can surely be disposed of in your general waste, even if you have to do it over a few weeks. You've clearly got room for it for a while, because you'd hoped to keep the whole suite, packaging and all!0 -
Pallets will likely go on Facebook or Freecycle for firewood or upcycling. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces4

Pallets are easily sawn up and will then fit in a car. Rubbish can be similarly divided up and put into your wheelie bin, maybe not all at once, perhaps over a couple of cycles. Really not a big deal.
Why not just take charge of the situation and deal with it yourself instead. Be independent.3 -
I had the new suite I ordered being delivered same day , I thought when it turned it , it was the one I ordered not the cancelled one it was not till another delivery turned up later that day I noticed this when I checked the invoice , as the sets are the same just from different companies , so I do not need the horrible comments it was never intended to keep 2 products , I’m just someone going through a hard time wanting some advise , hence I asked for no horrible comments , thought this was friendly place I could get advice turns out it’s not0

You've had plenty of good advice on this and your earlier thread. On the first thread you were told no, they goods aren't unsolicited and therefore no, you aren't entitled to keep them. On this thread you've been given advice as to how to dispose of the packaging. Neither appears to be what you wanted to hear, which was "yes, you can keep the mistakenly delivered goods" and "yes, you can insist they come back and retrieve their rubbish."Evalola said:I had the new suite I ordered being delivered same day , I thought when it turned it , it was the one I ordered not the cancelled one it was not till another delivery turned up later that day I noticed this when I checked the invoice , as the sets are the same just from different companies , so I do not need the horrible comments it was never intended to keep 2 products , I’m just someone going through a hard time wanting some advise , hence I asked for no horrible comments , thought this was friendly place I could get advice turns out it’s notI'm sorry you're going through a hard time, but that makes no difference to the advice on either thread, which has been good. It just hasn't been what you wanted to hear.2 -

OP, even if you have a legal right to ask for this rubbish to be taken away (which I very much doubt) it would still be very difficult to enforce. IF (big if) you were certain of that right and the supplier refused all you could do is pay a contractor then attempt to sue the supplier for the cost. Do you really want to go down that route? Even IF (big if again) you did any court would expect you to take all reasonable steps to minimise the cost and at best award you a very modest sum.
Whatever the rights and wrongs (as you see it) the least hassle is to follow some of the constructive advice given above.2 -

It's blantently clear you were trying to keep both, read your other thread again.
You sound like a 2 year old trying to panic-justify eating the last of the biscuits to an angry parent, just accept you were trying to con them out of the suite and you've had a bit of Karma in return.

OP, what would you have done with the second identical bathroom suite had the first one actually be unsoliciated goods? I'm presuming you would have returned the second one for a full refund? So no, you didn't intend to keep both in that sense!0
